Brian Austin, LCSW
Brian received his master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah. He has experience working with trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety and other specialized therapy issues in individual therapy. He works with adolescents and adults who are 15 or older.
He previously worked with women in an addiction treatment facility, addressing trauma, addictions, and a variety of other comorbid diagnoses. He draws from various therapeutic approaches, has advanced training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and is EMDRia certified. He also has training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, mind-body bridging (MBB), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), hypnosis and other mindfulness techniques. He treats complex trauma, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, domestic violence, and various other mental health issues.
Brian has many interests that keep him busy during his time off. He particularly enjoys traveling. He has traveled all over the world and he loves to experience different sights and cultures. He also served in the US Marine Corp for 11 years.
